In memoriam: William “Wild Bill” Ramsey
1950–2015. Co-founder of Fulshear Family Karate.
Fulshear Family Karate honors the lasting legacy of one of our original co-founders, William “Bill” Ramsey, affectionately known to our community, neighbors and friends as “Wild Bill.”
Bill was instrumental in laying the groundwork for our dojo, helping to establish a family-oriented environment where students could build confidence, discipline and community. He believed deeply in the core values of martial arts (strength, integrity and focus) and loved watching families train and succeed together.
Fulshear Family Karate truly was a family affair for Bill. His loving wife, Eileen Ramsey, was a great support to the club as well, and his daughters, Alexis and Christina, both proudly trained right here on our mats, reflecting the very dedication to community and martial arts excellence that he championed.

Beyond the dojo
Bill was a man of vibrant passions. He was a beloved fixture in the local Texas food scene, running his own business, Wild Bill's Rib Rub, and bringing his sharp eye for quality to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as an official World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest judge.
His spirit carries on
Though Bill passed away in October 2015, his foundational spirit, passion for community building and dedication to our students remain a vital part of the Fulshear Family Karate DNA.
We are incredibly grateful for his vision and leadership, and we carry his memory forward in every class we teach.
